Mike Liptak, Government Affairs Associate
Mike
Liptak specializes in monitoring,
researching, and analyzing legislative
activities on Capitol Hill to constantly
produce informational updates for
Washington Strategies’ clients.
He serves as a point of contact
for our clients working closely
with them to develop appropriations
strategies, identify federal grant
opportunities, represent them in
meetings with respective Members
of Congress, and draft important
legislation and effective issue
briefings. Liptak specializes in
the Congressional appropriations
process and works on various legislative
policy issues.
Before joining Washington Strategies,
Mike Liptak worked in the office
of U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell
(R-KY), currently the Senate Republican
Leader. Liptak conducted research
and served the Senator in the issue
areas of foreign policy, national
security, veterans’ affairs, and
trade matters. Liptak also worked
as part of a team that secured
hundreds of millions of dollars
in earmarks for military projects
important to the state of Kentucky
as well as the United States Army
and Military Special Forces. Since
the fall of 2002, he has participated
in grass roots campaigning in various
Congressional campaigns in Kentucky
and served as Volunteer Coordinator
for Senate races in Seattle, Washington,
and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Prior to living in Washington, DC, Liptak was an Admissions Counselor at Grove City College in western Pennsylvania. As a representative of his alma mater, he traveled the country meeting with prospective students and assisting them with their college decisions. Liptak also spent a summer as an Associate Producer for an independent film in Pittsburgh.
A native of Sharon, Pennsylvania, Liptak graduated from Grove City College with a bachelor's degree in Communications.
